Kibuli Secondary School

Kibuli Secondary School is a true testament to the vision of its founders and the dedication of its staff and students. Established in 1945 as a Junior School, the institution was founded with the goal of educating Muslim children and redressing the historical imbalance in Muslim education relative to other religious denominations.

Today, Kibuli Secondary School is a co-educational boarding and government-aided secondary school that attracts students from Uganda and neighbouring countries like Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Somalia, and Sudan.

From humble beginnings, Kibuli Secondary School has grown to become a leading school of excellence in academics, sports, and Islamic ethos. The school’s motto, “seek knowledge,” is a reflection of its commitment to providing quality education to its students. The vision of the school is to be a leading school of excellence in academics, sports, and Islamic ethos. The mission of Kibuli Secondary School is to produce morally educated individuals with skills and knowledge for self and national development. The core values of the institution are God-fearing, integrity, tolerance, adherence, and respect for person and property.

Over the years, Kibuli Secondary School has received support from various organizations and individuals. The United States government, through USAID, contributed immensely to the construction of the school’s infrastructure from 1968 to 1975. The Agakhan Foundation, individual members, and other parents through the Parents’ and Teachers’ Association have also contributed to the development of the school’s facilities.
