Located on Balintuma Road in Kampala, Uganda, the Kampala School for Physically Handicapped is a special educational institution that has been helping children with various disabilities since 1969. The school was founded by the Uganda Spastics Society, a non-profit organization that aimed to improve the quality of life and rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy.
The school sits on 5.5 acres of land and is the only one of its kind in Uganda, offering a combination of formal education, rehabilitation, and vocational training to children between the ages of 6 and 21. With a student population of 186 and a teaching staff of 42, the school also receives support from a wide range of volunteers.
